Child Marriage... So evil thing
In Muslim, the religion order to parents make married their girls as early as possible. On the other hand lower value of girls in society, parents are thinking if they are married in child age that will beneficiary as economically. Otherwise it will be a burden to the parents.
World Organization Against Torture (OMCT) expresses its grave concern at reports of violence against girls at the hands of both private individuals and state officials. OMCT also submitted an alternative report on juvenile justice to the Committee on the Rights of the Child. Early marriage is common in Bangladesh, with half of women being married before they are 18 although legally a girl cannot be married before this age. This practice makes girls particularly vulnerable to domestic violence, which is reportedly widespread.
Child Rights in Bangladesh and arround the world
Bangladesh is one of the poorest and most densely populated countries in the world, with a population of 127 million or 755 people per square kilometer. At least one-third of the population live in extreme poverty and lack food, clothing, shelter and access to effective health care and education. So many families in Bangladesh live in extreme poverty. Consequently their children have to work long hours for very low wages instead of going to school. The money that children earn is generally handed over to parents, who run the household as best as they can. Most parents want their children to go to school. But they also feel that schooling is a luxury as they cannot afford.
As the poor country under the existing human rights treaties, children were not specifically provided for. Civil and political rights on social, economic and cultural right concerned the rights of adults as well as children, but there were no specific provisions for children.
To guarantee the human rights of children is to invest in the future. Children’s rights are the building blocks for a solid human rights culture, the basis for securing human rights for future generations.
Some institutions are campaigning to raise awareness of children’s rights and to encourage people to take responsibility for future generations, also urging the governments to take immediate steps to protect children from violations and grant them their full rights under the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The rights of children have been recognized in international human rights standards such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights through which nations of the world acknowledged that childhood is entitled to special care and assistance. These rights were further developed in the Convention on the Rights of the Child, adopted by the UN General Assembly (on 20 November 1989). Virtually all countries in the world have demonstrated their commitment to children’s rights by ratifying this Convention, including Bangladesh.
The Convention ensures rights for children without discrimination, regard-less of their race, colour, sex, language, religion, national, ethnic or social origin, disability, birth or other status, or that of their parent or legal guardian.

ReUnion2009
But I am amazed to see an arrangement is going to completed before each and every student who have been passed but had no job. Still some( more than 40%) guys has no job , no income source. But the reunion is going to be held as a lot of expenses. the fees has class also!!! how ridicules. A reunion celebration has class system in its fees !!! with me some of my friends are frustrated to hear this. In our varsity life , we were there to learn something. But being a part of a batch yet we have no good emotions to each other. i am not also out of this word.
I am not shouting to do something against this unfair CLASS system. In this system jobbed people will give 400tk more than jobless people! The fees of jobless people is near thousand tk. Now it is clear to say Jobbed peoples are higher class, so they are paying more, and rest of are lower class, so they are discounted.
I thought, we people should be in good tied bond in future , still i pray for this. but what is going now?
As far as i know, a reunion has no class bound to tell how much u paid than me? less or more? This question should be enough to destroy the tie which we dreamed.
I cant come to conclusion to say anything.... I dont want this class system in our reunion.
best of luck u guys

Bangladesh PM meets mutineers after capital gunfight
Government negotiators and 15 BDR men had gone to Ms Hasina's residence. "A team of rebel BDR soldiers is now holding talks with the prime minister," a senior security official said.
Heavy gunfire had broken out in the morning as enlisted men met with officers at the BDR's Dhaka headquarters, sending civilians fleeing and bringing a face-off with with troops and police.
Bangladesh, an impoverished South Asian country of more than 140 million, has experienced several successful and failed military coups in its history, but disputes over pay and benefits apparently sparked Wednesday's clash, security officials said.
"They are firing rifles, machineguns, artillery and all sorts of weapons," one police officer near the scene said of the initial action.
The shooting spilled over into the streets and civilians were hit by stray bullets, witnesses said. Flames rose from the BDR complex and big blasts were heard. Thick smoke filled the surrounding area.
Over the course of the day army troops entered the headquarters and also took up positions nearby. The shooting gradually grew more intermittent and the blasts ended.
"We cannot really get close to the scene but saw army troops crawling towards the headquarters and urging people" to leave, a Reuters television cameraman said.
The security forces later took positions all around the complex with mortars and other heavy weapons, he added.
Around 2,000 BDR soldiers are usually stationed in the headquarters. It was not known how many joined in the fighting. About 500 army troops and hundreds of police and other security forces were deployed to face off the nutineers.
The mutiny broke out even though Prime Minister Hasina met senior BDR officers at an annual parade on Tuesday and assured them her government would do its best to modernise the paramilitary and reward good performers.
Ms Hasina's party won election in December and took over from a military-backed interim government. Political analysts and diplomats hoped the country, with a long record of political violence, would move toward the stability needed to attract foreign investment.
"We have always been neglected and continuing apathy towards our genuine demands has pushed our backs on the wall," one mutineer told ATN television by telephone.
Government officials said the uprising could lead to serious consequences unless resolved quickly. They denied the mutiny was a coup attempt.
The BDR, whose main duty is guarding the country's borders, are often called in to back up the army and police in meeting other defence and security requirements.
The army supplies the officers for the BDR, and a rebel said one BDR officer was killed in Wednesday's mutiny.
A doctor at Dhaka Medical College Hospital said it had received one civilian dead from the fighting and nine people wounded, including one BDR member. He said he expected casualty figures to rise.
Scores of civilians were injured by stray bullets as they ran for cover, private television said. The BDR complex also houses a school where many students have been confined, anxious guardians told reporters.

BDR versus Bangladesh Army and Govt..
BDR means BANGLADESH RIFLES. They raise their guns against their low facilties and corruptions that occurred during the past time specially in the time of caretaker government.
They have some basic requirement to be fulfilled. they urged for this for several time, to their upper authority. but their upper authority was muted against their needs. So the forged angryness came out from the BDR men. Now Bangladesh Army is putted on to make things to in control. but time is passing, still no good news has came. only the revealed hope, 14 BDR men is going to talk with PM- Shekh Hasina. Hopefully a peaceful solvement of this war like situation will be stopped.
Their have some rumor created for a long time, doesent ensured till now. thats are BDR head Shakil has been struked, died. A cerfue told to be held as rumor. but thanks god, it didnt happend.
I heard this news lately at 10 AM. At that time I was in IDB bhaban for some work. I saw , every people was talking about this, and they are so much tensed.
